The other day, I realized a strange copy and paste behavior between Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Firstly, I had an excel sheet with some date columns:
Later, I decreased the size of the columns. In this case Excel realizes that the date is too long so they were substituted with hash marks:
I wanted to copy these cells and paste into a word document, but it pasted only the hash marks instead of the date values.
So, don't forget to check small cells of an excel sheet before copy and past it into a word document.
Fortunately, Notepad is a more intelligent application, so it can handle this situation without any problem:
