I see you installed Vista... I think you will add more and more posts about that topic ;)
I had the same problem. Some files applies, but you can not verify where they are and you can not delete them. There are also no entries in the registry. I'm curios where this entries are?
I use vista on one computer but sometimes it makes me angry waste so much time with the inscrutable details that windows vista provides.
