VSS: null file is already open

Microsoft Visual SourceSafe is (maybe) one of most used applications for versioning of development files, at least using Microsoft technology in Windows environments ;)

The product should be quite mature, no big service packs or bugfixes were released so far, however "getting latest version" I got this message:

Maybe the developers left some files "Checked In" or before compiling didn't "Get Latest Version" ... ;)

Javascript error from Winamp

Winamp is a commonly used MP3 player.

I usually like when an application does what the user is expected from it, that is why this javascript popup was strange for me, from a music player. Unfortunately the screenshot is in Hungarian, but it has the same error popup window as the Internet Explorer.

Translation:

A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 460
Error: Invalid property value.

Yes No

Unexpected build error

Reporting extension of the Visual Studio brings some cool feature to it, but it also has some strange messages, like this one: "Unexpected build error: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object...Make sure that the product is installed properly."

Unexpected build error: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object...Make sure that the product is installed properly. Why don't you reinstall your whole operation system, after a build error?

Firefox download window

Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular web browsers. I also use it regularly, but its download window sometimes (it did it only twice for me) forget to enable the "Ok" button. With this feature the whole download window become useless.

Has Google changed the World?

It seems yes.

I checked the usage of UI - LOL using Google Analytics when I realized Google has changed the World:

Choose "Yes" or "No"

Gusty installed the HTTPAnalyzer to check some log files, when he found this screen:

It is quite hard to choose "Yes" or "No" because only a checkbox is there. But there is an other interesting solution: Apostrophes are escaped in the text. It is not so garish for ''Yes'' and ''No'', but won''t looks strange.
